Getting to the Root of the Problem

chiropractor adjusting patients lower backUnlike many other medical approaches, chiropractic care seeks to correct the root of the problem, rather than simply treating symptoms. This means treating the nervous system, which controls every aspect of your body.

Your nerves run through your spinal column, so when a bone in your spine is out of alignment, it puts direct pressure on the nerve, causing it to function at less than 100%. Eventually, symptoms such as pain and discomfort arise, and if the nerve is related to an organ, dysfunctions can lead to that organ or system.

Chiropractic realigns the spine, removes pressure from the nerves and allows them to function as intended. However, it may take several treatments for an adjustment to “hold” because the muscles have learned to hold the spine in the improper position for so long that it takes some time to reset the muscle memory, allowing the brain to recognize this new position as the correct one.

Once the nervous system is functioning optimally, pain and stress are reduced or eliminated entirely, energy improves, and the immune system functions optimally.

Our Techniques

At Nova Spine & Knee Center, we offer various adjusting techniques to help you achieve your optimal health and function. These techniques include

  • Activator Methods®
  • ArthroStim
  • Diversified
  • SOT (Sacro-Occipital Technique)
  • Thompson Drop Table

We also have state-of-the-art non-surgical spinal decompression tables for disc injuries, and a Matrix Therapy machine, which helps us achieve excellent results with neuropathy.

Dr. Reza specializes in disc injuries and stenosis, and many patients come to us because they’ve been told they need surgery. The vast majority of those patients end up feeling great and not needing surgery. Dr. Reza will be frank with you, and if he thinks you need surgery, he will tell you that.
